Good morning all my PM friends and new found family.
The crying has stopped and the reporting has begun for My documented 2025 Martin Babies.
I am looking and watching and can safely report 3 females and yes 3 nests earlier reported with leaves in them
Today they are acting, in my mind like my old PM behavior should be, singing staying home more flying. They are and seem finally happy and have established a home. I am so excited!!
It’s definitely been a common landlord journey, lol.
I’m excited now and nervous about letting down the box in a few days to count eggs.
Thank everyone for taking time with advice, tips, no no’s etc.
All advice truly considered and followed, mostly, if I could.
Lord Bless today as we celebrate the TRUE meaning of Easter.

Just to clarify the confusion of my earlier post. What I meant by the crying had stopped is this, since March 6 all of my posts have been negative in content because of bluebirds fighting Martins and Martins behavior not lining up with what I expected from them. Truth is, I had just not followed my babies like I have this year and I realized what blessings I have missed, however, all that is going to change from now on.

Good afternoon to all my PM friends. On May 1, 2025 I lowered my box and I have 2 eggs. I numbered the boxes and sketched the box on paper. There is 1 green leaf in boxes 2,4,8,12.
I was gone 2 days after I checked my boxes so I will also wait a certain amount of days before I let the house down again. I’m excited to find out how many eggs I will have when I let down next time.
Yesterday when I came in I looked up and saw 8 PM’s flying overhead.
I need advice on what type gun I can purchase that will help me get rid of starlings. Makes me angry to see them foraging in the yard. They are not scared either.Itd just s matter of time before these illegals start tormenting and giving my babies problems (if not already begun). Please keep in mind I am older and don’t need anything really heavy to hold. I truly believe that I can hit them with cross hairs on them. Thank you for sharing your tips and insights in me purchasing a gun. God bless each one.
