Well that should do the job. Just kind of hold it close to the spoon part, give it just about an inch. Try flipping stuff for practice, small pebbles maybe vs wasting crickets...not at the martins or in the house of course.
I don't have a website to buy them, just DQ.

Congrats Unk, you did it! Glad it helped!
Boy, 25 inches! You should be able to launch those things to the moon! lol Like Tom said, practice with it using other things so you don’t waste any crickets.
I get my crickets from Fluker Farms. I’ve had no issues.
Good luck!
Phil

Hello and a question
Do you guys flip Mealworms
========Found interesting
When comparing Crickets to Mealworms and there protein value

a dry weight basis. While both are excellent sources of protein, mealworms typically contain a slightly higher percentage of protein compared to crickets.
Here's a more detailed comparison:
Mealworms:
Mealworms can have a protein content ranging from 50-60% on a dry matter basis. Studies have shown mealworm protein to be a good source of all essential amino acids.
Crickets:
Crickets generally have a protein content of around 60% on a dry matter basis, according to a report by the Cleveland Clinic. Some cricket species are even considered complete protein sources, meaning they contain all nine essential amino acids in ideal proportions.
Other Factors:
The protein content can vary slightly depending on the species, preparation method (e.g., dried vs. live), and other factors.

No. Too small. I flip superworms, like a mealworm but 2 inches long.
Meal worms are good for platter feeding.

Hello Phil
Thanks for the heads up
Flukes has them as I surfed to see the price
Think I will get a 100 count Just to see how i progress [ Smile
Phil how do you handle yours Do you freeze them like Crickets [ Later Unk

Protien value about the same

Superworms have a slightly higher protein content compared to mealworms, though both are good sources of protein for pet reptiles and other animals. Superworms typically contain around 19-20% protein, while mealworms average around 20%. Additionally, superworms are larger and more active, making them a more engaging choice

Freeze them sir, freeze those superwoms for a while. Like a day.
They crawl, climb and can bite hard. They are tough buggers.
