Forgetful Fog here,
Neglected to post the data from my first check on April 4 - so here it is - 62 gourds with some nesting material and 10 empty. No eggs.
Nest Check #2 - 12 April - 65 gourds with nesting material (53 were "strong" nests, the other 12 more like "under construction.") and 7 gourds empty. Had 40 eggs scattered in 14 nests.
Rack #1 had 24 gourds with nests of some type of completion, 9 had eggs and total egg count was 26. Rack #2 had 23 gourds had nests of some sort, 5 had eggs and total egg count was 14. Rack #3 had 18 gourds with nests of some type but no eggs thus far. Rack #1 is my first setup followed by #s 2 and 3 some year or so later. Nesting progression at my colony seems to mirror the rack's age; first matins to arrive go the oldest rack first and so on. See you guys next week. Mike

2019 - 12 Troyer Horizontals with tunnels, 6 S&K B09s and 12 B011s all with tunnels. 43 eggs - 36 fledged
2020 - Rack 1 - 6 B011s, Rack 2 - 24 B011s, and Rack 3 - 24 Troyer Horizontals. All gourds have tunnels, porches and crescent/Conley 11 entrances; racks have predator guards. 161 eggs - 88 fledged.
2021 - 54 gourds-214 eggs, 184 hatched, 168 fledged.
2022 - 3 racks of 24 gourds. 363 eggs, 294 hatched, 278 fledged.
2023 - 3 racks of 24 gourds. 321 eggs, 276 hatched, 246 fledged.
2024 - 3 racks of 24 gourds. 330 eggs, 283 hatched, 250 fledged.
