Yep, still 2-3 weeks away here in Fernandina. Last year first arrival was Feb 5th… Been cold here for the past couple weeks and another week or so of cold expected so I’m fine waiting. But getting EXCITED for the new season!

I have a female that arrived this morning in North Richland Hills, Tx. Way too early. Usually the 2nd to 3rd week of February.

Wow! No $hit! Man I hope she will be ok in this crap heading our way. I wish you and her the best these next few days! Please let us know, lots of worried landlords.

Female is still here. I have offered her crickets and mealworms, but hasn't eaten yet. If she can make it a couple more days , she should be fine.

If you can get her to accept just one flipped cricket or meal worm you won. She will never forget and help train the other martins. All we can do is offer. Hope all goes ok

Agree with Tom. All you can do is keep trying. Besides flipping, have you tried leaving some crickets on her porch and roof of housing unit? It’s very disheartening when they just don’t understand it’s food you’re offering.
Hope it works out.

I placed some in the compartment she is in tonight. Will check tomorrow and see if she is eating. Thanks for all suggestions.

Good! This is brutal. 2021 they kept switching compartments...I should have blocked all but one. Its just crickets, just dump them on the porch, maybe, just maybe!

I've read several reports of prolonged coldness where landlords picked up their PMs (too cold and tired to fly), brought them inside and basically force fed them. They claim it works. I would try as a last ditch effort

It appears she made it. She is out feeding and temperature is 52.
