Hey everyone. I have been posting the same topic about this time each year. Please respond with your best guess as to when the first scout will arrive in the southern US. Typically arriving in Texas or Florida. I will start the guessing game. My guess is January 2.

Martin Colony History: Started off with no martins. Years later, I got a few martins. Now, I get more martins than you can shake a stick at.

Once again, I see it's time for my annual purple martin weather forecast. The wind gonna blow from the south, and push them martins up. Then the wind gonna blow from the north, and blow them martins back. Then the wind gonna blow from the south again, and help them martins out. Then the wind gonna blow from the north again, and hold them martins back. This will go on and on and on again and again, until your martins finally show up the same time as last year. This has been a public service announcement from MartinBro. Hope everyone has a good year.

Lots of laughs Martinbro. That is the most logical and illogical explanation of martin arrival time I’ve ever read. And I love it! Bottom line on arrival dates is “your guess is as good as mine”. Hoping everyone has a great season. Can’t wait for my first arrival…what ever day that’ll be! :lol: brent
