So our local Jacksonville news station, News4JAX has this feature called “Snapjax” where viewers can send in photos and they’ll put them up during the newscast. My wife has sent some in and had a couple posted. Well a couple weeks back she sent a bunch of pics of our purple martins and monarch butterfly garden with a write up about both. She was contacted the next day and asked if they could come do a story about our Martins and Monarchs. Well they came today and were here for about 2 hours filming and asking questions, it was pretty cool. We’ll see how it comes out after editing? lol Their segments are usually 2 or 3 minutes long. Maybe get some more people interested in putting up housing in NE Florida and SE Georgia. This station covers a fairly large area. They said the segment will air in a week or two, they will let us know. Will also be available streaming from their website. I’ll let ya’ll know when it’s there if you would like to check it out?

Haha Definitely no cure! Terminal!
The news lady that did the interviews was very nice and seemed genuinely interested. My wife gave her a bunch of milkweed to bring home and plant in her yard. I told her to let me know when she wants me to help her and her husband set up some housing? lol

That is awesome. I want to see it. I’d love it if they would do something like that here. We have several dedicated landlords that would be great features for local news. Brent

Thank you guys! I agree Brent, I’m sure you guys in LA have a bunch of seasoned landlords that would be great stories. It’s a good way to reach out to many people at once.

So the news ran the story this morning. They did a pretty good job. This is the story on their web page. The TV version was a little shorter but covered most of it and the Anchor mentioned the PMCA at the end.

My first time trying to post a link on here, hopefully it will work? lol

Thank you gentlemen, appreciate it. They did a really good job and were super nice people. I’ve had one person who saw it contact me wanting to put up some housing on Amelia Island for next year. He came by last week.

Oh, and I do have snake netting up by the way in case anyone is wondering.. Took it down for the shoot in case they asked to see some chicks.. Plus it’s just plain ugly. A decision I regretted when I was wrestling that stuff back up in the afternoon heat. lol

Excellent' Phil!! Just saw the news real and you and your family did an excellent job. When you have a great product show it to many people. Great job on getting the word out to the masses. I really liked the Monarch tie in as well. Beautiful place there!

Thank you Jones, appreciate the kind words! Yes, she did a really good job putting it together! I was wondering how it would come out after editing. They were here for 2 hours filming, asking questions, taking notes. She said I have a lot of film to go through at the end. Our cockatoo even got some air time. lol
