Today I performed my sixth nest check of the season. I have 25 of 28 gourds active. Currently there are 30 eggs and 91 hatchlings. I believe eight birds are close to fledging. We changed out 9 nest due to mites and moisture. I purchased two chirpy nest and discovered they were heavily infested with mites. The chirpy nest were easier to change but was disappointed in the mite infestation. I am located in Farmington Mo. this being my second year as a landlord.
