Good Evening to all,
Home safely after a trip to New Orleans for my grandson's high school graduation. Had an oyster Po Boy and a cup of seafood gumbo at R & O's out at the lake front with my wife. Yummy. All you south Louisiana land lords know what I mean.
Dropped my racks on my return and here are the results. Rack 1 - 40 young and 45 fledglings, Rack 2 - 46 young and 42 fledglings and Rack 3 - 38 young still nest-bound and 38 fledglings. Egg count was 35 but this number is just "out of habit." Eggs their now are either abandoned or infertile.
So now I'm up to 124 young still waiting on parents for food and 125 newbies out there trying to catch bugs by themselves! Totals 249 youngsters so far. See ya next week.
Happy Martining, Mike
