a wk or so ago i posted about if an individual was an SY male or not. today, i saw one that i know for sure was. he had a ton of purple on his chest and heard the creeeks. i will try and submit a report tomorrow.
i have 1 ASY pair (male for sure, pretty sure female too). i've seen what i believe is a 2nd female when the pair is around and today i saw another ASY male that i'm pretty sure was not my regular, as he was on a different rack and was a lot more cautious and i never saw him go in a gourd, just look in a bunch - typical 'new guy' behavior. then the SY male today.
after 2 yrs in a row of my nesters not making it back, i have had enough lookers/hangers around during those yrs that i've managed to 'start over' each yr. hopefully i can get up to the 6 pair that is suggested is the number you need to ensure at least 1 nester makes it back. while it's nice not having to worry about them in the cold early spring, it's just as hard waiting to see if any new ones show up each yr.
