Martin Colony History: 2023 two gourd racks 24 gourds ,kept no records. Became an official landlord. 2024 28 gourds keeping records.

I found a dead asy male at the bottom of my rack today. I found no trauma to his body. The birds have been really fighting the last couple days even to the point of pinning to the ground for some time. I have two gourd racks with a total of 28 gourds. Any ideas of what could have caused his death? Thank you for any help you can give.

It’s really hard to say. Sometimes they just succumb to old age or even disease. Not often but sometimes when cleaning gourds you’ll find a passed adult with no signs of damage.

If everyone else is healthy and active I wouldn’t let it get you down it’s just nature doing what it does.
