Is this a Martin being chased off by a starling? It’s 04/17 and we just had snow here. Don’t know about opening up the condos yet. The PMCA gourds just have some HOSPS checking them out.

That looks like a starling, but not so much a martin. Tail feathers off a bit. Hope you get rid of them all.
A good house sparrow is a dead house sparrow.

Maybe a house sparrow being chased by a Martin, I noticed the square tail on the lead bird.
2011- first year trying, a few visitors.
2012-One ASY pair, raised two young, lots of subby visitors. So thankfull.

The size and tail feather shape would point toward a sparrow. A martin would appear larger in size than this sparrow and in doing a relative size comparison to that of a starling.
Mite control, heat venting, predator protection and additional feeding during bad weather add up to success.
