Gourd hanging question.
I am in the process of installing a trio castle at the local golf course. I would like to attach a few Troyer gourds underneath the birdhouse so the martins would have more of a selection in housing and to also make it more attractive to them. My question is, what is the best way to hang Troyer gourds underneath a pmc castle? Thank you for all of your ideas.

Is your pole strong enough to hold a few extra gourds, but it may bend in a windstorm. I think that you could safely add a couple gourds.

I once had a Trio castle that I hung 3 gourds underneath. The martins loved the gourds and picked them over the castle.
I attached the gourds with plastic-coated copper wire. This wire is very flexible and strong. I attached the wire to the guard rail posts. Since the castle is 6-sided, I skipped every other set of guardrails. If you choose Troyer horizontal gourds, you will have to hang them sideways but I think it will work.
