The sort by city/all years feature has been restored. Now people can sort within a year by name, date, or city. Click on a name or city, and the sort will show all years with data submitted for that name or city.

When I push on states in the 2015 map, nothing happens. The dots are on the map, but not able to open them. I hit list in format style, it goes to blank US map with adds under it. Maybe not all is fixed. Thanks

I took some screen caps that show how to view data step by step - see if that helps, please. I also learned that if I want to preview a post, I better hit save draft!

To view earlier years, select year, then click change season. You'll see map with all the adult and subadult arrivals shown by dots. To see detail of MAP use + and - symbols at lower right corner of map. You can zoom in or out, and move around map by dragging, too.
To see lists for that map, click purple bar, view results in list format - you'll see map with no dots. This is where you click on state or province to view results in list format, which you can sort by city or name.

The blank map where you choose the state or prov., does not do anything when I click on them. I can't see the list to choose from. Thanks

Does not work with your link either. That's the page I get to, just nothing happens when I click on one.

Okay, they will check out the problem - thanks for the info, Marty. I expect the features work on computer okay on your end, just not the phone. Anyone else using iphone6 to view, or having problems with it?

Louise ---- Everything is working fine with my Computer, IPhone and IPad. The Iphone and IPad uses "Safari" as their brower... The home computer uses "Explore"

works for a Lenovo W520 laptop: firefox browser(38.5.2) and windows 7 professional with Service Pack 1

works on LG G2 phone with default browser.
I did have to turn my phone sideways(landscape) to get it to press on the state of Texas.
if I had it long side up (portrait) the map tries to bring up Oregon instead of Texas.

Thanks for adding this search feature. Much appreciated.

Louise,
I've been having trouble just viewing the Scout Arrival Study screen. All printing is so small can't see it. I've been using an I-Pad with Safari browser and computer uses Explorer. Will attempt to pull it up on the computer. Wish me luck...
Thanks, Rodger

I sometimes use ipad with safari too, and I zoom in when I reach the screen I want to see - that helps me a lot.

Louise,
I did get the Scout Arrival Study to pull up on our computer. Makes a big difference when you can see and click on everything.
Now just need to practice on it some. Thank you so much for being patient with everybody. I'm in that old timer category and I'm kinda slow sometimes, but I'm learning. I think it's great we have an instrument like this Forum that's available so we all can learn and share more about our Purple Martins. I only wish it was available 26 years ago when I got started.
Thanks Again, Rodger

Not sure this qualifies as a real problem or not... but when I sort by a town it brings in all towns of that name or that have a portion of that name into my list.

Ie.. I am from Erie, but it's erie, KS... all of the Erie, Penn show up as well as cities with other names that have "erie" in them.

I see what you mean - even if you start in KS list, when you click on Erie, it includes all the Eries - I'll ask if we can tweak that or not.

I can't use the map on iPhone as well. No matter where I click it displays results for Alberta Canada. I hope it can be fixed. This is my go to link this time of year. Is the forum software not meant to be mobile friendly?

Thanks,
David
