Reading the transcript to this story, it sounds like now is the peak time to go. Is this true? I want to get the timing just right, and since the headline says THOUSANDS of birds, but the reporter says Audubon has reported numbers up to a half million, I'm thinking the latter number is a historical statistic.
If any true Martineer has attended this year, I'd be so grateful if you'd please alert those of us who live in nearby towns as to the best time to make that drive.
Thank you so much!

Go as soon as you can, numbers are starting to go down - and it is currently a spectacular experience!
