My birthday was 5/15, eggs were due to hatch, but after checking, I (we) still had eggs, but on 5/16 they started to hatch out and today mom and dad have been hard at it feeding all day, :lol: WE have 3 new babies so now I can happily report after 4 years I have 5 martins... HAPPY DANCE, Happy Late Birthday to me :wink: WOW what a feeling this is.

2011 first ASY pair May 06
2012 first pair arrived May 01, May 21 total 10 pairs 49 babies
2013 May 04 martins 2 pair May 19 total 12 pair
2014 May 08 2 pair May 12 almost full 10 pair

Martin Colony History: Had my site up to 22 gourds of which most (+/-3) stayed occupied.
Downsized to 17 gourds due to back surgeries. Had 14 families in 2017 but did not do nest checks due to health. Feeling better in 2018 and hoping for a good year.

Yay! Happy martin baby birthday dancing day to you! :grin:

Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!
