Nice story on TV today in St. Louis of banding martins at a two-year-old
colony in Creve Coeur Park in St. Louis County. I ducked being interviewed as I don't manage this site -- just the high-paid (not) consultant -- but I'm the guy pulling babies out of houses and placing into buckets. (many thanks to someone here..maybe John Barrow..for tip on dropping a card with a compartment number into the bucket).

We banded 81 babies out of 90...just a few too young or too old. The banders (Missouri River Bird Observatory) are criss-crossing Missouri....same ones at Kathy Freeze's colony a day or so ago, and think they still have some to band in NW Missouri.

May be a story tomorrow in the St. Louis paper..

John Miller,

I echo Matt's eloquent sentiments completely. You have done, and continue to do, so much for martins, PMCA, and many landlords.

Thank you!!!
