I have been having a hard time finding ammo for 22's and shotguns in walmart has anyonelse had the same problem?
I'm just aobut out of 22 shells and 410'a ive killed 71 stralings and 20 hosp's now im trapping also
i let the starling work a week buiding nexts and 3 weeks for the babies to grow a little which keeps the parents out of the pms way then i kiil the babies and shoot the starlings

2016 100 pairs 600 babies fledged added another t-14 and have 126 openings now
2015 Jun 24 360 babies and 58 eggs also found one that had died
2017 632 babies 11died and 20 were killed by hawks
2015 74 pairs and 9 eggs 5/14

It's been nearly impossible to find 22 ammo here around KC since last October. When gun control started getting a lot of press there was a major run on ammo.

Three main reasons that i have read about are:
#1 Munition factories had to switch to the new expiry primers on rimfire ammunition these new primers that deteriorate will make the ammunition useless (they say) in just a few short months creating a use it or lose it situation, so people are buying up the older 22 rimfire ammo and hoarding it.
#2 When people started getting paranoid and began buying up the assault rifle's and ammo the munitions factories trickled down their 22 ammo production to switch lines over to produce larger amounts of the higher caliber ammo because it was selling as fast as it hit the shelves and due to that it created a shortage of the 22 ammo.
#3 After demand for the older 22 rimfire ammo increased large groups of resale buyers have been going around buying up large quantities the minute it hits the shelves so they can resale at the inflated prices that people are paying online and at gun shows and flea markets..

Pellets are $5-12 dollars for 500 count. I'm picking off birds at 80 yards away with my Benjamin Merauder .22 pellet gun. Plus it has a 10 shot clip for fast reload. Dont' waste good ammo on the birds man, save it for the Zombies. LOL
