Today I saw. two males in the inner city of New Orleans: For the past four years they have come in earlhy March but prior to. That it was early February but now its March: How do they know when we have colder winters? But they have been doing this for millions of years;

- Martin Colony History: Had my site up to 22 gourds of which most (+/-3) stayed occupied.
Downsized to 17 gourds due to back surgeries. Had 14 families in 2017 but did not do nest checks due to health. Feeling better in 2018 and hoping for a good year.
Not sure they do....what's crazy, if you read thru forum, is how early so many are this year. In some places north of us it is still snowing or freezing and they are showing up daily.....Mine were 8 days earlier this year 2/8 versus 2/14.
I don't know, maybe some are smarter than others...
Maybe the ones you saw wanted to avoid the Mardi Gras craziness, LOL but mine made it to the Spanish Town Parade in BR. I ride every year but I didn't even want to go this year so I could stay home and watch my PM's......
