Congrats on your first pair. I just moved in October, and also have my first pair of birds at my new place. I have mostly crescents, but added a few round holes to optimize my chances. I did notice a pair of starlings landing on the house this morning. So, I guess I will have to convert the remainder to crescents as well. The female likes the crescents, by my male bird still needs to learn to negotiate them. I guess now is a better time than none.

Good luck with your first enjoyable martin season!!

Hi Trish,

How are your nests doing this year? My sister (near Hertel) finally got some martins. Hope yours are doing well!

Hi Sue,
Wow, glad to hear your sister has some martins. My colony is doing good so far. Nine pair with 54 eggs. I had ten pair, but the female has gone missing from the last sy pair that came in. He hasn't been able to find another mate and I fear it may be too late now. I sure wish your sister the best of luck this year.
