Red bugs
I checked my gourds today for prenests(5) and found some tiny crawling red bugs on the outside of one of my gourds. I have already put sevin in all my gourds. Should I reapply or not worry about?

I'm not sure what the red bug would be, do you? If you are worried I'd treat under the nests.

You might want to do a *Google IMAGE search* and see if you think they are spider mites.

If they're chiggers, don't let them get on you! ..... They're tiny and they bite like crazy...

I know chiggers from my Boy Scout days. These appear to be bigger than chiggers but not red spider mites. I think I will treat the gourd affected.

I don’t have the perfect site. One open flyway with trees within 80 ft. I do have a small pond they utilize during the heat of Summer. (2017) HEAVY HAWK PREDATION

Since I live so close to Bulldog, I know the little red bugs he is refereing too. They're not red bugs. I see them all the time in different places. They're very small, about half the size of the head of a pen, and they are kinda round like a tick. I've never known one to bite (not saying they can't!)

I have had these Bugs for the past 2 years, never seen them before. Last year they were in Gourds and on the Rack. I went to Tractor Supply and bought an all Natural Bug Deterrent spray. Sprayed all Gourds and Rack. This did the job. I didn't have to use very much. Both times I had them it was very humid then. They showed up just 2 days after the Nest Check. I don't know what kind of Bug they were, but from this Post I feel they are the same.
