Hi,
I have read many, many and more than many posts about why it so hard to post photos. I know it is not just myself, so would it be possible to have the PMCA helpout to make it easier for everyone, or post a stickey on the hows? I know many members help out. I still do not know how and I am not willing to try again and again for hours.
Thanx,
Rob.

Click on Forum Help button and you will find your answers. Photos need to be a certain size or smaller, and once you use your allotted space, you must go to some old posts and delete those photos before you can post more.
Don't ever, ever give up. It will happen.

I'll tell you exactly how I do it. I use www.phobucket.com. Its free and easy. Once you have established an account hit the "Upload now" button for uploading a few photos or use the "Bulk Uploader" if you want to upload more than that. This will take you to a search screen that will lead you to files on your computer. Push the "Select Photos and Videos" button. The folders on your PC should then appear. Browse through your folders and select the photos you want to upload.
After the file is uploaded to photobucket, you will be prompted to "upload more" or "save and continue to my album" . When you're done hit "save and continue to my album". This will take you to your album and the most recent photos you download will be displayed.
Make sure you have the Purpple Martin Forum open in a different window.
Hover your cursor over the picture you want to post. Four "code" options will pop up in a screen below the photo. Use the IMG code. This will allow the picture to be displayed in your message rather than requiring the readers to click a link. Left click on the actual IMG code just to the right of the IMG code label. The code will briefly dissapear and the word "copied" will appear. Now switch to PM forum. Right click the mouse and hit paste. I just did it below with a rather poor quality picture of my PMs in the rain so I could write it down exactly, step-by-step.

Hit the preview button to see if the post looks how you want it to. This picture was 640x480. I didn't have to resize it at all.

Hope this is useful.

I would agree, photobucket is pretty darn easy however, there is another way that is also easy if you don't want a photobucket account. I learned this several years ago on this forum. You right click the pic you want to post, you will see the option to email to a recipient. Click that and email the picture to yourself. A Internet Explorer window will pop up and ask you..... do you want to make your pictures smaller? Click yes, then send. Go to your email and the pics will be resized to fit on this forum. Save them to your desktop or your pics. They are ready to be put on this forum. There are several ways to resize pics, this is just another for you to have at your disposal that is easy to remember since most people know how to email.

Martin Colony History: Well established 90 cavity colony. Mostly plastic gourds with some custom cedar houses atop pilings out over the river. We live stream the activity on our website https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXKqSW ... Ph2tywu4eg

We are on the Maurice River. The Maurice is brackish and tidal. It meets the Delaware bay about three miles down at East Point, NJ. The area is remote and consists of dense marshland and swamp. Dragonflies abound.

Swallows arrive in mid August and finish nesting mid July. There is a large annual roost in mid August upriver a few miles at Mauricetown.

Hey Tim, Thanks for the compliment. I built the pole and rack assembly about 5 years ago, it does hold 48 gourds. The pole is 3/16 x 3 1/2" tubing and the sleeve is 3/16 x 4" tubing with 1 1/4" tubing for cross arms and 1/4" perches. Here is a pic with the rack raised. Thanks again! Image

This is my favorite public colony site at Bernheim Forest. Thanks for teaching us how to do this Grady.
