Beautiful photos. I love watching the real thing, but I think photos and even slow-motion video sometimes best capture the magic of these birds, especially in flight. Just look at those wings!
During the nesting season, I love standing way back from housing and watching the martins drop out of the sky -- like rocks with their wings folded back -- to bring insects to the babies. It's absolutely amazing.

Thanks everyone; Yep, I was standing fairly close to them to capture the pics. I just can't get enough of them; watching them and all. Going to be sad when the season is over...which is very soon to come.
