Update on my martins, well I like to report that they have taken over the two T14's and the gourds. With my help six sparrow's have been trapped, three starlings and one rat. I feel I will have a good year. I will be checking next week for a count on eggs if any. I see that some are bring in material building the nest. I'm going to put two more short video, where martins try to enter the nest with large material.

Happy Martin to you as well, I'm a second year "trying" and need all the help I can get. 
I generally check You Tube every few days and search Purple Martins and yours was there last night.

Hi, Melissa, OK you right it was on youtube, but I was thinking you was talking about this site. Did you have any martins last season? My first martin house went up in June of 1965. My best year I had 50 babies how many made it not sure. I enjoy watching coming making nest and them feeding the babies. Then they started the training on how to fly. I also have a fallout shelter, this is used if a baby falls out of the nest I place it in the shelter, the mother will feed it there. Melissa you may know all of this, I hope it help you out. No, I am in my second year of trying to get Martins. I have a small set up with a house on one pole and six gourds on another pole. I have had a few Martins checking out my set up this past week so I am hopeful. Sounds like you are an old hand at raising Martins. I'll keep you posted.
