Bob, thanks so much for your post and information. I only read the post after the beekeeper left and did not get an opportunity to ask him why they were here. I was very grateful to just have them gone, so Paul and I can begin our cleanout.

Linda, I am a beekeeper, and am so happy to hear that you called someone to come and take the bees instead of spraying and killing them. Honeybee numbers have been declining for about 20 years due to a couple of parasites and the small hive beetles you are referring to. Thank you so much. :grin:
