I went to the doctor this morning, and after I came home I was walking
around in the yard with my wife and sister-in law. I heard the call of a
martin but could not locate where it was. A few minutes later I looked
and saw him sitting on the power line. Within 20 minutes 3 more showed
up. They are all dark black males. I look for more to be here before the
evening. They look to be very healthy and happy.

Darryl, Congratulation's on your arrivals, that should make your back feel better already! I should see my first arrivals any day now but as slow as they are moving I'm not sure about that. Good luck this year.

Hi, I'm glad to hear it. I live in about 30 miles north of Columbia and have not seen any yet. It's great to know they are arriving. I hope we have a great season!!
Hope!

 I had one lone female Martin arrive late this afternoon. She checked out the house, circled the area feeding for about thirty minutes, then went into the house for the night. I'm hoping for more to arrive tomorrow.
