Landlords in the Houston area (and other areas that got hit by Hurricane Ike), get ready to see a possible boom in the number of your breeding pairs this season.

As many of you know, Ike took down many, many, unmanaged Martin houses, that hosted Martins. As many of these sites were unmanaged, many probably won't be replaced, leaving a LOT of displaced Martins looking for new homes.

I'm already seeing this first hand, at some local colonies.

The Martins in this area of the state, are in more need now for caring landlords with "Vacancy" signs, than they have been in the past 25 years (since Hurricane Alicia.)

Hi Matt, well I just put up a Heath 24 compartment house, which brings us up to 46 compartments with only one pair from 08.

So we are ready! Vacancy sign is B L I N K I N G . . .

cheers!
Michael

Great news Michael!

There's a good chance some displaced Martins are going to very happy to see your increased accommodations.

Keep us posted!
