FINALLY! My babies are back! Three beautiful boys were seen coming out of the gourds this morning. The exact same date as their arrival last year. I couldn't stop grinning as I watched them gliding and singing over the colony housing. I've called everyone in my family! I'm sure there are a lot of rolling eyes. But, that's okay, nothing will dampen my joy today. They are back!

Gotta go. They look a little tired and deserve some tender loving care. I'm going out to fluff their bedding and serve up some nice warm crickets. Maybe I'll sing them a lullaby while they are resting. Hmm hmm hmm, Humm humm humm.

Jeanne:

Congratulations on your new arrivals! Since you saw them coming out of gourds this morning, they might have come in late yesterday. Really doesn't matter; your season has started.

Since my first scout showed up on Feb. 19th last year, I have been keeping an eye on the housing for any early returnees. Nothing yet but Thursday is the 19th so maybe mine will show up on the same day they did last year. Right now, I am hoping they hold off for a few more days. We are suppose to be down in the low 20's for our lows Thursday and Friday nights. After that it starts to warm back up.

Astrid,
Of COURSE, I did a dance. In fact, my feet never hit the floor all day. And, guess what? My boys are so handsome they brought home two girls last night! Are they fast movers or what?! 8)
