Thats good to hear James i sure hope he lives around your area. When Martins find your place trust me you will get swamped. The problem appears to be that around your area there are no Martin houses, people now at days live in their own closed off little worlds only caring about themselves. When the Martins find your site with all the variety and proper housing you have available you will get swamped. I took some pics of my birds today in the morning so far only 3 scouts 2 Female ASYs and 1 Super happy male.

The place is here in Miami were I teach. Julio I know that they will come here, they always have. When I started my colony in 03 it was not until Feb 20 or 28 when they came. Your right about people nowdays, they live in their on little world and do noting to help nature. It seem that the Martins really like your new house. I can wait to see if it fills up before the Coates. I really like the new house you have. Great Job. I know that your place will fill up fast. Your lucky to have a colony so close to you that can help your odds.

Well have not seen any martins today. They are going to be late for sure. None of the regular guys around me have posted there martins on the arrival page yet. The only one has been Julio.-

With my middle-age bifocals I can't even thread a thread.
Hope you get martins soon. In my reading, it seems the migration is more drawn out in the southern states, probably most so in southern Florida.

Your right John, it is drawn out. I think it has to do with them flying over the Gulf. Unlike Tx an La where they come up thru Mex in large flocks.

Well this weekend was sad. I did not have any martins to show and it was a great weekend for them to fly across the gulf. Several people that have colonies around me of which I do not were they are at have not posted the return of there martins. I have not even seen the swallows that often fly thru as of yet either. Funny season going on. Maybe soon I will see some flying around.-

Well the weather has cleared and it is a great day here in South Florida. Hopefully the martins will start pouring into my area and some action will start. Several colonies around here have not reported that there maritns have arrived. These Conlonies are old colonies so I know it not just me. It is funny that Martins have shown up in NC and they still have not made it to places here in FL.
