:-( It still looks as if the migration is still north and west of me. We had a couple of sightings down here in south fl but just a few. I hope that more are going to show up in my neck of the woods. I think Steve in La will have birds at his site this week. Everyone up North of me I hope you have nest material in you houses, because it is cold and they need some warm places to stay. Will talk soon.

 Tx and LA are getting the scouts pouring in to their state. Great to here that their birds are starting to come in. As for down here in South Fl the birds are not show up. Tomorrow is the date I had mine show up last year. Lets hope that happens and mine get here.

 Well today is the day that my martin scout came last year. I sure hope that he or she shows up today. I'm going crazy with this wait. ON another note Steve had his first scout hit his site yesterday. Now the season has really started for him.

Martin Colony History: New site and housing for 2018...Trendsetter 12. 1 pair of subs. Fledged 5...2019...11 pairs

It can just drive you batty can't it James :) Last year my scout returned about 3 weeks later than the rest of them around me. I think the older colonies must get them first. Good luck...I bet you'll be seeing some anyday now.

Look at it this way the longer you wait up front may mean they will also be with you after others colonies have left. Then they will all be jealous of you.

 Davlyn the weather here is great. No clouds and warm with a south to south east wind at 3 to 5 mph. Great for flying across the gulf. They have a great tailwind to get here.

:???: You are right about it driving me batty. My neck is hurting and my dogs are mad at me because I'm outside when I get home and they have to stay inside and I don't play with them until it is dark outside. I need to go and get an my neck cracked by the doctor before long.

Dick I like your thought about them staying long but it is driving me crazy.

Hey James just so you know none %^&*() of my birds are back yet. I'm an IT guy so i practically work remote from home and im out with my laptop looking for a good 2 hours a day and besides those 4 birds that were touch and goes none of my original birds have arrived. The colony 1 mile from me is empty as well ......WTH is going on

:-( Well Julio I really don't understand it myself. Today is when I had my first scout show up last year. I hope when I go home he or she is there. I have not even seen a martin in my area so this year. I'm going crazy and my neck is hurting like crazy from looking up. Another avel day for me. I really don't worried about it, we will be getting them soon I know. They have never failed to show up and you will have them soon. You will most likely get yours before me.

8) Thanks Dick! I think I am going to get on a plane this weekend so I can see what a PM looks like. It like the old saying water, water every where but none to drink. I'm pulling out what little hair I have and my neck is hurting. I may even get a ticket going home from work, because I am driving to fast to get home.

James is having PMA - Purple Martin Anxiety! A very common affliction this time of year in Florida. I may be getting it myself soon.
