WE finally got Martins in Baton Rouge This am (Wed Jan 30 2008) at abt
10:30am....Its not exactly Martin wz. The temp this am was 37!!! The sky:
clear...They seem vy comfortable on my T-14. I have a total of 28 nests(6 - T14, 14 super gourds, @ 8 single houses..This begins my 8th year.
My wife & I are 81 & 82(getting pretty stiff!)...We are thankful they didnt
show up earlier, as the wx has been unusally cold for this part of the
country!! We have more of the 37 degree mornings sked this week..!!!
However the high is sked for 53 & above, so they shud find some bugs??
Jan 10 (2007) was my earliest arrival date. We are very excited on our
new arrivals!!!
We are Escapees (#472- 1981).......Joe & Edith Lefebvre

A great BIG Aiiiiieeee, to you, Joe and Edith,

I only live about an hour away and I am watching the skies to no avail. It seems that there have been sightings all around me, but no sign yet of any returning Martins at my sight. Though I'm hoping they take the long route "home" this year. It's awfully cold and I'm not very good at flipping crickets!
