Should you report a scout if your still don't have an established colony started and just have visitors?

Going to add natural gourds this year. Been trying for eight years. I was going to put tunnels on some but was wondering about just drilling 2" holes in some and that's it. They don't even need a porch or perch of and kine either do they? Yes, I have tried everything else the last eight years.

I know you used to have 24 gourds. Why did you go to twelve? I have read you almost always had 100% occupancy. Are you semi retiring? Whatever it is I always enjoyed your posts and Thank you.

If I thought a tv and couch would help I would try that too. Year 7 for trying.

As a wannabe I have always tried as soon as ASY were in my area. This will be year 7 trying. With this info its more encouraging.

Where did you put the access hole to remove birds?

I'm right there with you. Know exactly how you feel. Year 6 for me.

I have built 4 T-10. Chucks purple martin page has plans. Mine are like his only 2" square pole. I also put tunnels attached to the side instead of mounted on the door.

I agree with you. Thats what I was looking at.

Sure looks that way to me.

I build mine out of cedar which I have sawed from old electric polls. Most of the time you can get them free or a little bit of nothing. Once sawed you can use right away as there is no drying time.

If I recall most birds can not smell. There are a few exceptions.
