I couldn't get in just now by typing the url purplemartin.org or www.purplemartin.org. I finally got in using the url for the PMCA Shop and then clicked 'forum' to get in.

If there was a cover on the end compartment and open from below, the end compartment might be a little bat house. Or, if the end compartment had a cover on the front and below, it could have just been a single compartment house from some other species of bird.

If you are going to have Tree Swallows, how about put up some gourds with smaller entrances that the TRES can get through but the martins can't, and keep the rest of the gourds/housing closed until the Martins arrive. Then when the martins arrive, the TRES will be safe in their gourds with 1.5"...

It took a while to coax the HOSP into my repeating trap, which I received last Friday. I sprinkled seed in the trap and around the trap and all over the outside perch and bait tray shelf. HOSP are flocking to my PM house. I ordered one of the "Uncle Blane" repeating traps on Monday and it was waiting on my front porch when I got home from work Friday. They say the hardest part is catching the first one. Keeping my fingers crossed.
