it is a balancing act for migrating bird species.

The summer bugs in northern Ontario are awful!.., unless you like to eat them.

Same here, tree swallows are usually a week (+/- a few days) ahead of martins and barnies (we love our barnies too).

First robins and killdeers were last week, first turkey vultures today, so we expect tree swallows next week and martins the following.

Won't be long for blue birds and trees and barnies. And then the big birds!

I'm looking to purchase a nest box cam. Can anybody tell me who the manufacturer of the one sold in the shop here is?

Had to look twice. Two hummingbirds here on Wednesday (Sept. 28 ). We are 50 miles due east of Detroit.

Barn swallows and cliff swallows arrived last night.

Our martins and tree swallows are back but I haven't seen a single barn or cliff swallow. Starting to get worried.

Anybody anywhere seen them?
