Me too! Been trying to get birds for 2 years. They are back again this morning. Been trying to post a Scout report but system won't let me. Oh well.

I have the Red barn 16 compartment house made by SK manufacturing. I see they make a block off kit and a modification open insert too. I'm probably going to hang stuff up in a week or so. Our weather is going to make a big change towards the spring temps. Thanks again. MikeR

Ok, thanks for the info folks. My site has 2 open fields that have pipeline and power line easements on them. One of those is my property. Right behind that is a small retention pond. Overall I feel pretty good about the site, I just have too nab a few. And as far as keeping pest out of the house......

Ok, We used to have houses up for the martins back in the 70s and well into the 80's. With that we (dad) got out and I'm getting back into attracting the wonderful guest. I missed the boat last year by putting up my house way to late, but I did get to see a visitor one day in June or July last year....

Connie, glad I made u laugh, now box up 2 or 3 pairs of ur Martins and ship them to Indiana! I'll fix them up with nice digs and can even get the Indianapolis 500 tickets if they will hang around!!

Well I finally had a subbie do some fly-bys yesterday. He never landed, but he came very close and was thinking about it. So that being said I' m still holding out hope!

I'm feeling your pain. I'm trying to get a new setup here in Indianapolis going and I'm not seeing anything . Getting concerned. I keep telling myself I need to be patient and hope its not to late yet.......... MikeR

I'm wondering if there is a preference on what direction an electronic martin call should be placed? I currently have it on a stake pointed to the west at about a 35 degree angle . I have it coming on in the morning for a few hours, then it cycles off for a hour or so and then back on for couple of ...

Thanks for the replies. I have everything in place, have sprinkled Holy water on house and did martin dance around bottom of house pole, which neighbors enjoyed. I even put out a Martin bird call that plays for a couple of hours in the morning. Not sure what else to do! ha. Thanks again. MikeR.

I have been away from the landlord business for about 15 years and getting back in for some more fun. I have been looking for Martins and have not seen any around Indy. I live on the southside of Indy. Any other Landlords in the area and or anyone seeing any activity? Thanks! MikeR
