Yea! I have 2 subbies I wished that they would move on. I'm full up but there are a couple houses in thus area that have plenty of room. Maybe they don't like Houses, I have all Gourds.

2 Subbies are playing havoc with about all Martin nest's. Pushed out 6 eggs and tore a mud dam half way out the entrance so mom and dad couldn't get in. Ray! Maybe I worded wrong. All of my 19 Gourds are full. There are nest in all with leaves. The egg count is better this year than last year at this time. Last year I averaged 4.5 eggs per nest, this year is 5.5.

Great count JR.I checked mine today with 60 eggs. in 19 Gourds. Looks like it's going to be a great year.

One of my friends in Texas had a Snake clean out 12 Gourds. He always checked them every evening. That was 5 years ago, the Martins left and have never returned. His site was 15 years old at the time. So if you even have a few snakes around it can be catastrophic.

I have had the same problem. I'm not sure there is any thing that can be done these birds are pretty tough and they survived real well for me. All I did was to lower the racks to 9 feet so that they did not get as much wind.
