A gourd rack was added to the Seabrook area of NH by the audubon Society They have 3 pairs with young. A pair was found in a wooden box there so they added gourds to help the species. Very True many of the ASY were missing in the spring as many as 25 males and hens did not return and left a large void in the colony's state wide.
The SY filled many of the empty units but numbers were way down.

Have gained many SY this week plus have seen them moving threw
the southern area of New England. Sites continue to build up there numbers
and new sites can still get started, From points north.

Hi Guys
Can you tell me what is the best oil to use on the pulley rack system?
Or spray that can reach the top pulley. I have used WD-40 to spray the top
but not sure its the best stuff too cause cannot reach or take down rack.

I had two male martins that could not enter the crescent holes.
I had to remove and add round holes on aluminum house I have
put Conley holes on my aluminum house that i was given in the fall.
I have many crescent gourds there have been no issue with them and
they all have porches.

Just put four of the gourds together they look excellent.
And very simple to apply tunnel to the gourds.
My work for the season almost complete.
I will be adding 16 new homes for the birds
Its going to be a great season in 2014.
