Pretty decent year this year for me, got about 30 birds hanging around. Started laying eggs this past week here in Central Ga. What I have noticed, not a single SY bird this year at my place.

I have the cooling caps on mine, also added elbow vents to the cleanout covers.

Curious the responses on this thread, the new formula gets hammered on the FB pages, but really doubt any of those folks have every actually used it. Heck, the old formulas was frowned upon by a lot of folks.

I see mine on the ground on occasion, and always been either to grab clipping for their nest or mud for their nest. Never seen one feed on the ground.

Use pliers on the fat part to push them on or pull them off

Gonna try to get my houses and gourds up this weekend, figured I'd wait for the storm to blow through. I had my first birds 2/15 last year. Looks like a couple reports just south of me.

Mine are about full too and sy aren't here yet. I was gonna puchase another 8grd troyer setup they have on sale and hopefully get it up quick but they are backordered for several weeks.

This thread jinxed me, I mentioned I saw a hawk the day before watching my martins. Yesterday when I got home, it was sitting on top of my sk house with my martins circling above it. After he left, I counted my martins the best I could, looks like he hasn't got one....yet
