I have three ASY males each has a female mate, and these extra two have been staying separated from one another. One of them could be a Male but I couldn't figure out why they are not paired up. I will take a closer look.
Thanks for the Reply.

Re: ASY Males return to same gourd year/year and monogamy question
IDK, but I have been wondering the same thing. I think the males are likely to show up first and would not wait on the same female.
Good Question.

Re: Martins Predawn Song Queston.
Yes I have been playing it in the morning about a hour before day break. But for the last few days I heard them before I started playing it. Maybe they have started coming because I had been playing it. I would have to agree with you. Have you had any luck since you originally posted? No, I hadn't ...

Re: Martins Predawn Song Queston.
I've never seen ours leave our gourds in the morning. What I've noticed is at dusk they come out onto the perch rods and start singing. As the sun comes out and warms everything up, they tend to start flying around. For the most part, I can see how far mine go, they do large loops, out a hundred ya...

Re: How close can you place a gourd rack to a building?
I put up a small rack 15 feet from my building with four natural gourds, the gourds are lower than the roof, I may need to move it further away. I did it for a alternative to my other rack because I had to close it due to tree swallows, I’m waiting for them to nest in my gourd on a shepherd hook. I ...

Re: Tree swallow anxiety, try this.
I've always found that once they start building nest's they will stay at hat location. What gets people is they have TS going in and out of a gourd for a couple weeks and then open their PM housing, the the TS start going to it and by the time you close it back off and force them back to their gour...

Re: Tree swallow anxiety, try this.
Hopefully I don't sound argumentative, as that is not my intent. I am always interested in ways to help when it comes to Tree Swallows. I help a lot of people in my area with martins and TS are the biggest problem getting started. Have you tried the method that you are describing or are you plannin...

Re: Tree swallow anxiety, try this.
I've heard of people moving them if they get into a gourd rack without the landloard knowing about it. In your case I would not give them the option. Leave the gourd rack gourds closed up so the only option they have is the near by shepherds hook. I know all to well the frustration of dealing with ...
