It's all part of their long-term plan for world dominance.

Re: She had no idea
There out there alright. It was the aerobatics and chatter of the occupants of a Martin house on a golf course in Pensacola that first sparked my interest in Martin's. Unfortunately it took 18 years for that spark to ignite.

Re: She had no idea
Enjoy your serendipitous Martin's. Just don't forget to enjoy all that good seafood there on the redneck Riviera. Make sure you get to McGuire's in either Destin or Pensacola. You won't regret it! I spent over 27 years in that area of the country.

Re: Question about S & S Controller Trap
Millet and bread crumbs. I put both In a feed cup in the trap to tide them over untill I get home to dispose of them. The only problem with the millet is that the sparrows spread it all over the place and it spouts in the joints of my patio hardscape. I guess I need to build a structure for it with ...

Quad Pod Insulation Question
Has anyone out there insulated the roof of the Quad Pods? If so, what did you use? I had initially thought I would use some of the "Great Stuff" spray can foam insulation. But then I saw the ventilation louvers in the bottom part of the two piece roof, and realized that that would block th...

Attempted Hostile Takeover by HOSPs
I thought that I had at least started to make a dent in the local HOSP population between my use of a repeating ground trap and occasionally placing a universal trap in one of my 12 quad pod cavities. No luck getting a nesting pair of Martins this year, but lots of vocal visitors. I've resolved myse...

Can't hurt to ask. You never know, he may have friends or family near you or even further West. I can't even count the number of times I've ridden/driven past Colby on my way to Goodland (grandparents) or even the Denver area (Uncle and others).

Re: I need sparrow advice
Yes, they are sneaky that way. They seem to keep an eye on all your possible egresses to your yard. In fact I've caught them flying away as soon as I open the door. Trap, shoot, whatever can do. Just try to keep them under control. It is a never-ending process.

Re: Wireless Live Wifi Camera
In this age of everything being connected, and so much of that getting hacked or pulled into botnets (especially cameras). Please remember to change any default passwords on this equipment. And a real password at that.

Re: Question about S & S Controller Trap
I'm using a ground repeating trap. I caught 40 in the first two weeks. Almost a 3 to 1 ratio females to male. Capture rate is down now, but I'm not seeing any HOSPs near my cavities at the moment.

Re: Problem with Quad Pod roof
I realize that this is an old thread but... I have two levels of quad pods myself. One roof did fly off once. I could see that one of the locking tabs just didn't fit into it's hole quite right. Not sure why. I futzed with bending the tab as well, to no avail. I did find that a little horizontal pus...

Re: House sparrow ?
You are more than welcome to come down here to Oklahoma and collect some of ours. I've trapped 32 in the last 8 days. I'm within the city limits so shooting is out of the question. The repeating ground trap works great though. Pre-baited with bread crumbs for 3 days before it was delivered. Set it o...

Re: Still no subbies
Thanks for giving me some hope that I may still have a chance down here in Elgin, OK. Lots of SYM visitors over the last two weeks, but none have stayed the night.
