I guess I've been lucky. I built 2 wood Martin houses and have 1 pair nesting. I had a few that stayed around for about a week, singles, then left. This is my first year and know very little but am learning. I hope more birds show up but I think it's getting late. I'm in N.E. Arkansas.

How long should you play the morning song each day?

I had no birds until I started playing morning sounds of Martins and I had birds within 10 minutes and I simply played it on computer with exterior speakers. They are on youtube. You can google to find the sounds.

I'm waiting for residents in my house. No lookers as yet. A neighbor down the street has 2 houses and looks like most of his have returned. I'm hopeful when the youngsters arrive i'll have some move in. My first year. Very hopeful.
