Had a great year also,all I found so far was 2 dead on the lawn,this is great.I have 50 houses up and all had birds in them,so that would mean 100 birds,if they have 3 birds each raised then that would mean over300,really great year.Are leaving early this year,have 3 families left.

:P Received my new sparrow trap this spring and so far I have gotten 38 sparrowsGreat trap and not even sorry for the sparrow.Hope to get more before the end of the season.

Louse,Right now the wind has came up and the snow is being shook off,and ChickadeeLI feel better not to disturb them if they are in the holes.Heard about the feeding bit but never did try it.Hope tomorrow will be a little better,but think Friday will get warmer.

Well this is what my setup looks like after 4+ in of snow overnight.As of last Monday I had 2 martins.Where they are at now ,who knows?If they are in the houses they cannot get out as all the holes are covered up,Also I don't think they can handle this cold weather.Supposed to get down to the 20s to...

I would say you were very lucky.Last week during our hot spell here it got around 100 degrees and you could think how hot it was in the gourds(even with air vents).I had over 25 jumpers and also tried to take them into my house.This worked for a day of feeding and watering,but it got to much and the...

Carl,I live in milford,De and I have had birds since the 19the of mar.Is this your first year,if so may have to wait a little for the subbies.I have 80 gourds up at this site and around 6-8 living here.Just to cold to bring them up here.Good luck on your birds.

Great idea on those pocket warmers,but I might go broke as of now I have 18 birds and all but 2 want to live in diferent places.Guess I could take all 80 gourds down and leave up only 2.Tonight will be in the mid 20s and possibly snow.

Thanks Emil, Has the peple that use them have the starling problems.Mine here are quite bad in the spring until they realize that lead is not good for there diet.I am using the SREH now but some of the smaller ones from Texas still get in.Thanks for the reply.
