Got my first scout today 1-00pm. A male flying around then landed on the rack before taking off.

Had my first scout show up at 1-00pm today. What a week it’s been. My grandson graduated from BMT Air Force he got engaged and my first scout showed up..

When they arrive there will be reports all over. We have seen this before the show up later then they leave later. I think this week will be the week.

Never known Texas to be ahead of Florida when it comes to scout reports. Mighty strange

Got home early from work today. Numbers are up again. I guess the others must have come in early the other night

I don’t think they are passing through as the numbers had been up for a couple of weeks. I’m suspecting a hawk as we have plenty around. They might have come in early as I didn’t go out till 6. Dark at 6-30

Last week I had 14-16 coming in at night. They were hanging out when I got back from work around 4. Tonight only 6 came in. Not sure if it’s an owl or hawk that has been harassing them. Anyone tried out the Tunnel gourds from SK. I just 4 and they seem to be made well. The inside is black so nice and dark. They look just like a Troyer tunnel gourd. You have to drill all your own holes but you can see exactly we’re to drill

Thanks, I knew were Jim lived for years. but for a while his gourds and racks have been down and gone and the house is for sale. I then noticed he posted on the scout report that he had PMs in Plant City.

The best thing I have used to keep owls away is sound. I have a speaker set amongst my gourds with a wire to a radio. The radio is the old stile that turns on and off with a timer. Haven’t had a owl attack in years.

I heard one over a week ago but do not report till I see one. Been looking every day and have not seen one. The second report on the scout report is only 2 miles from my colony. They reported the same day I heard one so I think that might have been the one I heard.

Seems like it is way behind this year compared to other years. Only 2 reports so far.
